This past project was very research based. We were to make a letter form based off of a topic that we chose to explore. I've always been interested in Native American history, so I chose to research the medicine wheel. The medicine wheel is the main concept of spirituality in the Native American culture and is all about the continuity and harmony of everything in nature. I STILL cannot decide between my more realistic representation (bottom) of the harmony of nature, or my one (top) that includes more graphic patterns. I'm leaning toward the top letter form, but we'll see if that changes after crit tomorrow...
